Spring Spruce UP DOWNtown scheduled for May 23
Kalamazoo, MI—Join Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership for the annual Spring Spruce UP DOWNtown on Thursday, May 23! Downtown businesses, offices, organizations and individuals are encouraged to participate in this collaborative effort to make downtown even more beautiful. This is a great team building opportunity while giving back to your community!
Morning and afternoon volunteer shifts are available, 8:30a.m - 11:30a.m. and 12:30p.m. - 4:30p.m. Each shift will begin at the Kalamazoo Downtown Partnership board room, located at 162 E. Michigan Ave. Snacks and water will be provided throughout the event. Additionally, a lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m.
Volunteer groups will be assigned into geographic zones, and tasks will include planting flowers, picking up trash, power washing, washing window, weeding and light landscaping. The following items will be provided: work gloves, shovels, rakes, brooms, trash bags and dust masks. Dress for mess; casual clothes are recommended.
In the case of severe weather, the event will be postponed until Thursday, May 30.
