The Arcadia Creek Festival Place is staffed by a uniformed employee. While the position is full-time (40 hours per week) the staffed hours vary weekly according to the programmed schedule for the festival place and its maintenance needs.

The attendant is responsible for maintaining the festival place by picking up and removing litter and debris, weeding the gardens, planting annual flowers and cleaning the playground, pond bank and picnic areas. Additional responsibilities include monitoring user behavior in accordance with both City of Kalamazoo Parks rules and those rules identified by Downtown Kalamazoo Association Charities. Should a need arise for enforcement of these rules, the Arcadia Creek Festival Place attendant works closely with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety to address those needs.

Most importantly, this individual serves as an excellent resource of information and acts as an ambassador to those that visit the festival place.
