BUILDING REVITALIZATION PROGRAM

The Building Revitalization Program is a matching-grant program provided through the Downtown Development Authority through its Project Review Committee on an annual basis. The grants aim to assist property owners toward the revitalization of the downtown district through physical improvements to its buildings and their property values.Grant funds are made available annually to property owners within both the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Tax-Increment Financing (TIF) districts. Grant funds are first-come, first-served and are advertised as available through this website.

Three elements of the program, Design, Façade and Interior Rehabilitation, have been suspended for 2012.  In their place is the Sign Grant Program.

Sign Grant Program

The Sign Grant Program reimburses business owners up to 50% of the cost of a projecting sign or awning that advertises the business name.  Guidelines and an application can be found by clicking on this link.
