GRANTS & INCENTIVES
Downtown Kalamazoo Incorporated manages the following progressive programs for Kalamazoo’s Downtown Development Authority. All programs are available within the TIF district (see map). To view more information on each program, click on the link.
The BRP program offers grant dollars to approved projects to assist property owners and businesses with design support, façade improvement, and building rehabilitation.
The BRRIP program is available to property owners and prospective property owners to assist new, relocating and expanding businesses.
The purpose of the Retail Incubation Program is to create vibrancy and wealth in downtown Kalamazoo by supporting new retail concepts.
The City of Kalamazoo has the authority to issue new Class C liquor licenses downtown for restaurants with a seating capacity of at least 50 patrons.
