The Downtown Development Authority, through its Capital Improvements Committee is responsible for the maintenance and beautification of several areas of downtown, specifically the Kalamazoo Mall, the Arcadia Linear Park and the Arcadia Creek Festival Place. These services are also extended to general sidewalk areas should a specific issue or area be reported or identified as a special project area. There is one dedicated downtown maintenance staff person beginning January through December. Certain routine-based tasks are provided by a sub-contractor, such as weekly grass mowing.
If you’ve noticed an area in need of maintenance attention, please notify the downtown maintenance staff.
